To preserve the beautiful shine and appearance of the jewellery for as long as possible, I recommend that you take it off before exercising, cleaning, showering/bathing, sleeping etc. 😊
It’s also a good idea to take off your jewellery before applying skincare products such as creams and hair products as many of these products contain sulphur, which can cause a reaction in silver, giving the piece a darker and more matte look.
It’s a good idea to store your jewellery in the jewellery boxes they were delivered in, as they’ll protect your pieces from direct sunlight as well as from hydrogen sulphide in the air. It’s also always a good idea to store your pieces separately so they don’t rub against each other and scratch each other ⛓
Has your jewellery piece become dark between the joints?
When a piece gets dark between the joints, it’s often just ordinary dirt, and fortunately, that can quickly be removed.
I recommend that you wash your jewellery in lukewarm water with a little bit of fragrance-free washing-up liquid. That should get rid of the dark dirt on the joints.
It’s important to thoroughly rinse the piece with water to remove the soap and dry it of so it’s completely dry before putting it back on.
